"Worcester, MA. Mac Sabbath are one of my favorite bands to work with, with out question I am a big fan of Black Sabbath, and a big fan of McDonalds (the food, the legacy, the iconography, etc). So when Mac Sabbath came around, I knew I had to work with them. Maria, an absolute legend in the metal world was their publicist, we set up a shoot at the Palladium, and I decided to go really dark with it. A lot of bands of the genre of big characters with stage outfits, masks, costuming, etc are often photographed with very bright, full lighting, which I find to be a little boring for a band like this, so going a bit more directional with the lighting, letting them ham(burger) it up in front of the lens, and getting the best possible images that fit with the sound, look, and overall aesthetic of the band was exactly what I wanted to do, and accomplished. We have pretty much done photo shoots every single time we have crossed paths and to this day, that photo shoot is still used by the band for their imagery. There are some bands where you find the right combonation and you know youre always going to nail it. I feel like working with Sabbath, every single time we shoot, we nail it and get something that everyone in the band, as well as myself, really dig that adds to the incredible visual legacy of the greatest band in fast food metal history."
