"Ghost HQ, Unknown. Ghost is a band I have been fortunate enough to work with a bunch over the years. All Papa's and the Cardinal have a deep understanding of how important visual representation is within their universe and in turn is one of the easiest bands to work with. No matter the front man, they know how to pose, how to find the light, and what lighting does and doesnt look good for them. When tasked with this epic shoot at Ghost HQ, knowing I wanted to get three different looks for three different covers, I knew this would be THE shoot for Ghost and I. Though we did unfortunately kill Papa iii in the last shoot, this one would be a little less thematic and a little more just capturing Ghost within their world. The location was absolutely stunning, we got to the venue at noon and shot three sets, one at 4:45pm, one at 7pm and another at 1030pm... it was a very long day but the outcome was incredible. They were shooting video footage for the record release ritual as well as the Jimmy Kimmel appearance and I was photographing them between those things. It was aweosme seeing the full production come to fruition when they were recording, and getting to shoot around it. This shot is from the final set of the night, as the cold mausoleum was dimly lit, we got those super dark band shots, which I think is a great way to photograph Ghost, going a bit darker and adding a bit more mystery to Papa and the Ghouls. This is by far one of my all time favorite shoots, and I dont know that I will ever personally top it with them, but I am always up for that challenge." Jeremey Saffer
