"Boston, MA. Ville and I were supposed to shoot many times over the years in the HIM era, but for one reason or another, things never came to fruition. When HIM broke up, I figured I would not have a chance, but thankfully his incredible solo album came out, and he started touring for it. We lined up a shoot for an Outburn cover and finally my chance to work with the legendary VV was happening. The shoot was in a for a triple cover, so we knew we had to get some variety in there, one of my favorite sets was photographed against a grey concrete wall in the venue, which is a safe go-to when photographing anyone as a nice neutral. As in any photos of Ville, it was his eyes that just pierced through the lens in every photo. No matter how far away the image, his eyes would always catch the light and look incredible. His management was at the shoot, looking over my shoulder, and they loved the images. In fact, they loved the images so much, a few weeks later I was flown to Los Angeles and did another shoot with Ville (two shoot in 3 weeks) but this time with someone else I photograph very often, Andy Biersack. Photographing Andy and Ville together was great, of course, but getting to work with Ville twice in a month and really get a bunch of different stuff in that time was incredible, though it was our first times working together I hope we get to work together again in the near future."
